Hi Every One,

I am new to blacksmithing and like to make a knife of two. "Perseverance"!!! ;-) I was searching the net the other night and found a review on your site by Bill Grandy on the trident dagger. I have searched the net, your site and the library. I really can't find to much info in this blade. For my first post on this site I would like to ask for help. Go figure!! lol I would like to fine a book that shows "OLD" trident daggers and also the locking and springs that made them work. So as a machinist what I am looking for is a print of the real ones. How did they do it in the Renaissance. Thanks for you help and time.

Bob

Bob,
Hello and welcome to myArmoury.com. Happy Check out Spotlight: Combination Weapons from our Features page. It shows a few tridents. From the sources section of that article, I recommend Kombinationswaffen des 15.-19. Jahrhunderts, by Heinz-Werner Lewerken.

Happy

Thanks for the info Chad. You must have that book. Did you find it in the US??? Can you tell me if there are any diagrams of the locks and springs of the 1500's tridents. Music teacher!!! Good for you. Have a great day and a Merry
X-Mas.
