Tim Hall, David Rowe and I have just published an article on the 16th century Ringen master Fabian von Auerswald on the Chivalric Fighting Arts Association Blog.
http://chivalricfighting.wordpress.com/2012/1...auerswald/
It is meant to highlight the man himself as well as give a video sampling of several of the techniques seen in von Auerswald's amazing ringen treatise, Ringer kunst: funf und Achtzig Stücke (The Art of Wrestling: Eighty Five Techniques), including showing a small demonstration of the historical game Ringen im Grublein, which is described in the treatise. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did writing and filming it!
