I have a bit of a problem. There is a sword in Marseilles (France) that needs minor work done on it - an etched area needs a bit of heat colouring removed to match the shine of the rest of it; this is a small job, which might take only minutes with a dremel-type tool and stainless steel brush (or something similar). The problem is that I am in New Zealand and the sword is in Marseilles with the buyer; rather than send it all the way back to NZ and risk something happening on the way, I am hoping to find someone in Marseilles or the area, who has the skills and confidence to do this small job on an expensive sword.
So if you know somebody, or are that somebody, please contact me about this for more details.

Try contacting Fabrice Cognot through this forum. He makes very nice medieval knives, daggers, short swords etc.
He lives in Dijon, but at least that's closer than New Zealand. Also he may be able to recommend someone in Marseilles.

Thanks, will do. He is about 400km away from Marseilles, but at least he will have local knowledge, and if he is willing to do it, it is a lot better than sending a sword half way around the world for some touchups.
