another attempt, this time a complete eating set - knife and pricker - for my wife. both have a very simple construction, handles made from rose-wood and brass, tubular brass rivets.
the next project will be "wedding knifes" for a friend of mine and his bride-to-be. Attachment: 44.01 KB
Looks interesting... I thought prickers were round or oval in crossection but yours looks like a thick narrow knife blade (triangular crossection). I am curious if anybody here investigated what they were like historically.
The cross-section is rather a flat square, based on some older pictures from Hermann Historica auctions. Some of them were posted here, in another forum, but I will search my computer and post later.
