I have a 15" plain steel buckler from GDFB. I have heard some people complain about the weight of these 14 gauge bucklers. I don't think it's all that bad, but I really don't like the handle (another common complaint). What were the handles like on original steel bucklers? I'd like to find out so I can make an authentic replacement."Those who 'beat their swords into plows', will plow for those who don't."
Have you tried googling "Buckler Shield" or something like that? Or try using the search function here at myArmoury. There are at least a dozen threads on the subject of bucklers.
