Congratulations Dan, is it available from a North American source ? I guess one can order it directly from the U.K. publisher and I will have to check out how that works and if they take Paypal ?

Dan,
Well done Dan. I will have to get a hold of the book and read up. Maybe I can add a small section in my ancient and classical history section for next term.

ill definately look out for it when it hits australian shelves
when can i expect to see it in bookshops in sydney assuming it hasnt already been rolled out.
and i wonder/ hope that abbeys bookshop in sydney will stock it eventually
itll be good to have the book as a general guide to weapons and warfare in that general context and ill be glad because i KNOW itll be pretty accurate.
(one book i found, 'the atlas of weapons', had a picture of a 17th century polish zichagge and the caption read that it was a conical helmet similar to those used at hastings... )

I wrote it on contract for the publisher. Don't know about distribution. Amazon had it available for pre-order last year so I suppose that it will be available in other countries. No idea about ebook format.
Thanks for the support. Hope it meets people's expectations.

Pen and Sword Books take Paypal, they charge £7.00/item with a minimum £14.00 shipping charge, so I figured what the heck and ordered two copies. I've been keeping an eye out for this for some time and went looking for it as soon as I saw that Dan had changed his avatar. Congratulations Dan, I expect this book will be very useful.
'I saw young Harry, -with his bevor on,
His cuisses on his thighs, gallantly arm'd,-
Rise from the ground like feather'd Mercury,
And vaulted with such ease into his seat,
As if an angel dropp'd down from the clouds,
To turn and wind a fiery Pegasus,
And witch the world with noble horsemanship.'

Thanks, good to know as I have rarely ordered anything from across the " POND ", except for one book and my Eared Dagger from Todd's Stuff.
Part of the problem was that the Pen and Sword Books site doesn't have a FAQ page or one addressing International shipping easily findable ? Maybe when one uses the shopping cart and chooses payment options the information is given, but I usually like to know these things before I " commit " to clicking on the " Add to cart button ".
Just a question of sites not always making informatiion as easy to find as possible on their sites.
In any case, thanks Jason since your post gives me the information I wanted and needed to put in the order soon: I'm curious about the subject matter and it's a bonus to be able to support the writings of a fellow " myArmoury " member.
