Here is one I just finished for a customer a few hours ago.
The sword is an older model Del Tin Late Period Crusader sword. I gave the poplar core a cover of smooth grain leather, dyed a dark antique tan. The suspension is pretty straighforward, being a heavy duty laced frog crafted from 9-11oz tooling leather which holds the sword at a cant on the left hip. The belt and frog are dyed black to match the grip, and were given a high gloss sheen. The Latin Cross and shield were embossed at the throat to match the same theme on the pommel of the sword. The mild steel chape was given a utilitarian finish and left darkened to match the finish on the sword's fittings.
This package is a simple, yet functional approach for a pragmatic swordsman who would embrace the sword as more of a tool of the trade than something to hang over the mantle.

That's nice, how the shield on the scabbard reflects the one on the pommel.
I always liked that sword, DT5144, type XV from around 1400. It's one of my favorite Det Tins, one of the first swords I ever bought.
