My younger brother is working on a comic book concept with a viking theme, and has asked me to help out with some research. Specifically, he needs reference material for how Arabs (or Muslim people in general) dressed in the viking age.
I was just wondering if anyone here could provide or point me at some decent references, preferably with pictures. The sword is an ode to the strife of mankind.

There's a good Osprey book called "Armies of the Caliphates 862–1098" which has a large number of images of common Arabic dress of the period. I just checked, and Kult of Athena has it for twelve bucks. Attachment: 38.91 KB

Thanks for the suggestion. Can't seem to find that title for sale around these parts, so I will have to ask my brother if he's okay with ordering from abroad.
I did find Armies of Islam 7th-11th Centuries closer to home. Might that be comparable? The sword is an ode to the strife of mankind.
