Hi All,

For the Mac/ iThing users out there, I thought you might like to know about this:

The Queen of Weapons

I wrote it to coincide with our 'Noble Art of the Sword' exhibition, which runs until 16 September, but it is intended also to stand on its own, as an easy way of looking through some of the Wallace's best Renaissance swords.

Best,

Toby

Will it be released in a non-iThingy format? Please say yes.

That would be nice. Maybe Google Play Books?

All you have to do to get it on Microsoft computers is download iTunes, create account and Ta Da! Book!
As the hammer falls it sparks
to light a fire withing the soul
forever witch it marks
to leave an armourer's mark

I don't want Apple software and it would be very nice to be able to read it on my tablet or phone.

I'm in the same boat. I stopped using itunes years ago because it had become bloated (I also didn't want to give them credit card info for a free program). As it is a free ebook I'm not sure why it couldn't be released as a PDF. Although I'd assume the publisher or photograph copyright owner would object. Using itunes allows them to block printing or copying of the images. Of course they could also use an ePub with Adobe DRM and it would at least be accessible to more then just iTunes users. Anyone on an Android device or Adobe Digital Editions could read it too.
