Here is a punched eye hawk forged from a single piece of 1" square 5160. The customer wanted a reduced poll for tent stakes. Curly maple haft and deer rawhide/veg tan mask.

Pretty simple ... no frills. But it sure does perform. The heavy eye adds weight giving one hell of a punch when thrown. This is the best thrower I've ever.... thrown. :-)

I love it... it looks so elemental. The haft is beyond awesome.

Agreed, is the haft fire darkened at the top end near the head ?

You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

Thanks guys...

Yes. It is fire blackened.... something I love to do on my hafts. If I didn't say it before.. this is the best hawk I've ever made. The thickened eye does wonders for both throwing and wood work.

Excellent hawk Scott. Any idea how much it weighs?
