I installed a new app on my iPod today, from noted UK antique dealer Peter Finer. I thought it might be interesting to see what other mobile apps people know about as mobile apps aren't going away any time soon.
What other interesting apps are out there that would be on topic and of benefit to people in this community?

It was an attempt to remind folks that info is often easily and quickly available to those willing to seek it. In some cases, it takes as much time to post asking for info as it does to search for info and find it yourself.
Now back to the thread, please....

So, can I guess there's not much out there based on the lack of responses? I did find a couple of museum apps, but I didn't download them.
The Museum of London has one called Streetmuseum that can show you what certain sections of London looked like years ago and illustrates things with items from their collection. Could be cool for visitors to London.
So if there aren't many apps out there, is there a market for them? We are a small niche, but a loyal one who has shown a penchant for spending money on our hobby.
What kind of apps would people like to see developed?

I'd love an app that would work with google maps to alert one to museums with arms and armor and military collections. Drop a pin, specify a radius around that pin, and it would advise you of any museum(s) and give you a brief description (and maybe user rating) of the collection. Make traveler's remorse a thing of the past!
Edit: I'd expand the coverage to historical art and artifact collections as well, if I had my way.
