Hi All,

It has only been 4 years coming, but I finally have a set of Rappier hanger and harness furniture available.

The set is everything you need for the hanger, the front strap and the belt and is available in Bronze for £135 = approximately $220.

I hope you like it.

Regards

Tod

Beautiful! Will it be possible to purchase smaller groupings or individual pieces for use on earlier/simpler suspensions? I've been studying some of the Mary Rose finds as I prepare a scabbard project for that period, and I would need some, but not all, of the pieces shown. Or perhaps this set is distinctively later than would be appropriate for the 1540s(?).

Hi Sean,

Thanks. The set is really a rapier set from about 1570 ish.

It is obviously for sale as a set but I am sure I can split some of the bits off for you. Send me a mail to discuss.

Tod,

These look very fine, but how tough is bronze compared to, say, steel fittings? There's an awful lot of weight to hang off that S-hook, and I have had brass fittings fail on me before (which is why I currently use steel). Is cast bronze any tougher than cast brass?
