Who can tell me more about this dagger, it is found in southern Spain Tarifa and has a bronze cross, grip and pommel cap, the cross and the grip are made out of one piece, the iron blade is flat diamond shaped with a pronounced mid-rib.
I found the same dagger shape on the ceiling of a church in Tarifa., but of course it's also what you want to see.

roman? early medieval period? other period? Question

thanks,

It looks medieval to me, probably 1250-1450, but I can't offer much beyond that. The mid-rib on the blade and the shape of the bronze hilt seem to place it in this time frame, but there isn't much else that I could base a guess on.

I wonder if it may have its origin in a Moorish weapon smith´s workshop?

I also have something gnawing in the back of my mind. I think I´ve seen a similar hilt somewhere, I cannot just remember where. I have a feeling it was pretty early. Iron age BC.
I keep looking through my material.
I´ll post the result if there is anything.

Interesting piece!

It looks like Thraco - Cimmerian dagger from 8th century BC.
Something similar:
