...on the Thirty Years' War?
I have Wedgwood's book, as well as Parker's, and while very comprehensive, they're just very... dry.
At the risk of being labeled parochial, I was hoping someone could recommend something on the Thirty Years' War which is more readable, or dare I say, entertaining.
Thanks in advance.

If you're not looking for something very scholarly, have you run across Schiller's rather dramatic retelling? (He's the guy who wrote the play Wallenstein, by the way, if there's anybody reading this thread who hasn't heard of him.)
