I get it from a local steel supplier here in monroe mi. thanks to the auto companies there are several steel suppliers and a couple of mills as well, keeps the cost low and a good selection.

I've checked every steel house within 60 miles and cant find it, I know shipping is going to be a son of a gun, but I'm going to have to order it. Would you mind giving me contact info for your supplier?

harbor steel has meduim carbon plate about $240.00 for a 4x8x1/4 plate. i checked their site and they have shops in lexington ky and prichard wv their phone numbers are
lexington-1-800-776-4113
prichard-1-888-356-8061

the shop i deal with is in muskegon,mi and their number is 1-800-858-4201
they are the ones i called for a price and they did have some in stock

didn't know the size you needed so i just went with 1/4 inch hope this helps
