Hi all!
I´ve started to research correct NCO titles for our group Companie of St Sebastian, 15th century archers, and came across Ventenar and Centenar as names on officers commanding 20 and 100 men. Is this something from historical suorces or is it invented later on? Where there any titles or is this too a later invention?
Thankful for answers!

They are indeed historic in their own way. I have seen them used in arrays in England a great deal. If you look at the patent rolls or the letter books of London they show up fairly often.
