Salve knights.. I'm doing my coat of mail with long sleeves, but I was thinking ... is historical leave an opening in the back of the arm and close with leather laces.
at the end of the sleeves I would like to put mittens
I would appreciate ANY information

Well, I can recall two examples of maille being split and then tied together with leather or cord in order to achieve a form fit, but alas I can't recall the sources nor pictures (one was of the ankle on a pair of chausses and the other on the back of a coif).
