hi i would like to build a new handle for my frankenstein saxon sword (the blade is from the squire, the pommel and cross guard is from the saxon with a pob of 5 or 6 inches from the guard i don't remember).
the thing is, i would like to find a nice type of handle that will not hurt my wrist because of the pommel but i would like something historical at least in shape
i will use this technique to build the handle (or something similar) http://www.yeoldegaffers.com/project_grip.asp
and since it is a screw-on pommel i thought i could glue the pommel on the tang but i don't know if only epoxy will do or if there's a better glue for this task.
i'll need to polish the blade too though but well it is another matter.
thanks for the help folks.
