Hi Jack,
I met the man, he operates from a warehouse here in Lyon (France). Friendly guy.
I bought this poleaxe from him: http://www.armae.com/moyenage/armes_d_hast/Fauchart.htm
For me it had the advantage of being on hand, no postage to pay!
I then realized it was too heavily built, but really, it was my fault, I should have seen that in the pictures and when taking it in hand... Not too bad a piece though, I currently am reworking it.
Some things I would point out to a potential buyer:
- items marked as "made in the EEC" are almost all from Czech republic, I think. That's where my poleaxe came from (he told me up front when I asked him).
- I think he's geared more towards reenactment, most of his weapons are blunt, for instance.
Overall I'd recommand him, he came across as a honest and friendly vendor. I also know he responds well to emails, so you might try that if necessary.
Cheers,
Simon
