|
|
Hello,
I'm looking for pictures and sources to Spanish armour of the 15th century.
I would guess, that most of the Spanish armour would have come from Italy, but maybe with minor (or even major) local influence.
Might there even be a unique Spanish stile?
The search on the forum (using Spanish and Armour as keys words), got me a hugh amount of threads, but I have stopped skimming through them after about the 20 threads which no real reference to what I'm searching.
If this thread is redundant and the topic has already been discussed, I would be grateful if somebody could point the direction and I will delete this topic.
If not I'd really appreciate any help this community can give.
(if some or all of this above reads funny, please excuse my choice of words, as my mother language isn't English)
With best regards,
Andres

One place to get started is www.effigiesandbrasses.com
you can search by region and time period. e.g. searching on Spain and 1370-1500 brings up 6-8 that may be of interest to you. tr

I saw your request and thought this would be helpful. http://www.tgorod.ru/index.php?topgroupid=2&a...tentid=228 Although a statue, the full plate armour in pic 20 is a rare representation of the period. I also like the brigandines in pic 24, the rivet placement reminds me of the one at KultOfAthena (no affiliation).
