Hi

i'm working on my new armor and want to use a pair of hourglass gauntlet in a 1470 burgundian setting.

So i'm looking for the use of hourglass gauntlets around 1460-1470.

I would love to see effegies or other art forms

the only thing that comes to mind when you say hourglass is a Milanese style gauntlet. is this sorta what you want?

I'm looking for the 1420 hourglass style stil used in the 1460.
Like the blackend 1450 gauntlets from toby capwel by mac pherson.
But more in a burgundian style and not english.

Ben, maybe you haven't found any simply because they were not in use as late as 1460's? There are many different styles of gauntlets used in the 60's so why not use them? There's probably a reason why the articualted hourglass gauntlet disappeared after 1420-30.
Try to find another style that fits your timeperiod instead. Bending the timeleine just to fit ones own purpose is quite dangerous and stray away from the initial thought of reenacting. But if that's not the goal then I don't see a problem to mix and match over tha decades.

I have no Evidence of Hourglass Gauntlets around 1470. I even don't think that the Gauntlets of Toby Capwell are Hourglass Gauntlets.
There are milanese or gothic Gauntlets and a few of them looks a little bit like Hourglass Gauntlets like this one from Ingolstadt:

Are these the gauntlets in question?
As, as most have said here already, I think it would be highly uncommon to have hourglass gauntles in the middle of the 15th Century.
