Do you mean it's getting an American release or is it going to dvd. And by the way, I've seen this. It was sort of a medieval version of "The Wicker Man". Not exactly the same story line but you can see the influence. All in all it was alright.

Sean Bean has wielded many swords - Sharpe. LOTR, Black Death, Game of Thrones to name a few films.

If you look closely at the wagon in the background when they first team up, you will see a Landesknecht style 2 hander leaning against it. Mr. Bean also has a strange scale-ish leather armour. Some great photography in the film. Everything is gritty and rough. No shiny armour to be seen ;-)

Doesn't really look like my cup-o'-tea. I don't go in for thrillers and/or horror.
Although, nice to see Hollywood's costuming departments still refuse to pull off halfway historical medieval.

I have seen the movie,
it isn`t really a horror or a fantay movie... there are few fantastic parts in it - but just to show how it looks from a medieval person, who does not understand what he`s lookin at....
the story is about old european religions, sience, the church and a dark age of desease...
its pretty critical and all in all you can say it is nearly realistic....
I would say it`s on a level with "Shadow of the Sword" or "Tristan & Isolde"....
but it is defenetly hard stuff..... bloody, brutal and a kick in the ass for the church.
