Does anyone own a Hawei Flanged Mace? I was thinking of purchasing a used one, but I can't stand the black finish. Is the finish removable. For those who saw my Windlass German Mace post, I am looking into alternatives. I would be interested in the Hanwei Spiked mace, but I believe its discontinued. Does anyone know of any place besides the forums or ebay that still stocks these?

I don't see them on the CAS/Hanwei site anymore, and Kult of Athena doesn't have them on their mace page. I'm guessing it was discontinued, so if that's the case, then I'd say ebay is your best bet.

As for the finish, it's probably possible to remove it, but it's a very solid bluing. I'm not sure what's involved in removing that. Personally, I'd be afraid I'd ruin the piece.
