I am new to this network and was wondering if the site has any forum or location for persons looking for fellow researchers, training partners, etc. within a specified geographic location? Some tool or aid for persons trying to find a club or group in their area? Or, likewise for posting your club or study group so that others may find you?

Hi John, and welcome aboard. As you know there is no specific forum for what you are looking for, but you could post your request in the off topic forum. I've seen other such requests answered there in the past, so hope this is helpful, and good luck.
