Over Thanksgiving break I was able to get my hands on some older steel in thicker and wider sizes then I normally able to get. My first thought was to do some basic made polearms and stuff. These are the first two that I have been working on to finish before I get a little break for the holidays. The first is a lochaber axe shown for reference mounted on a 1 1/4" shaft about six foot tall. The axe head is 16 3/4" long and is in the black. I am going to make this available if someone is interested in buying it as DIY project to avoid having to ship a complete mounted axe.

The second is along the lines of a vougle. I was able to keep a slight T-back along the spine that transitions into a quadrangle spike. Originally I planned to do a Jeddart staff and bardiche later this winter and keep one of them, but I really like the vougle and will keep it for the time being. Something just clicked with me and this vougle.

Thanks for another good year everyone.

Those are both GREAT! Good work. I have always loved Lochaber axes. It's nice to see them get a bit of attention.

Bit of a departure for you but fun looking stuff!
