I've been trying to locate some decent 16th or 17th century wide brimmed felt hats for quite a while now, but almost all I can find are crappy costume pieces at 10 dollars or so. The only site selling what I think of as decent was this:
http://www.pyrate.org/captainkidd.html
But that store seems to be quite dead (no response to e-mails) and is located in the US (which would increase shipping costs).
Does anyone know other sources for decent-looking period hats, especially in Europe (though not necessarily so)?

Sweden based "Handelsgillet" has a selection of wool felt hats:

Thank you! That's at least one source close by.
The problem with that one seems to be that you'll have to find and fit all the extras for the hat separately (the belt around it etc.). Also, if I understand the site correctly they only carry sizes between 58 - 62, which would be ok for me (I'm a 62), but my wife would have to find another source (she's 54/55)... :/
