Any first hand opinions on the New Cold Steel Italian longsword? At 3.5 pounds it seems a bit heavy, which is typical of cold steel, but that seems to still be within acceptable standards. I found a good deal on one but I won't be able to handle it first and would hate to get a clumsy overweigh weapon if that is what it is. I would love to have a weapon capable of practice cuts without worrying about damaging a more expensive reproduction.

Sounds like it might be a pretty good deal then. 2.5 pounds is perfect, I appreciate the link. I just wish I could handle one before I ordered it but I guess for the price one can't complain too much.
