Rejoice with me, fellows mine!
After seven years of study (long story, not exams problems, normally they are five+thesis) I finally made my bachelor in theology.

Now I can go in the life... wait, I have three more years for the License.
But at last I can work... wait, I'll continue to repair computer

Well, at least now I can fill that space on the wall of my room!

Congratulations Gabriele! Big Grin That's a ton of hard work. Eek!
Are you planning on becoming a professor of theology at a university? How does this work in Italy exactly?

Thanks to all for the replies...

@Scott
In Italy there are three grades in the theology (but this is the system of all the Catholic Church): the bachelor, 5 years+minithesis+big oral exam, with which I can teach Religion in all the pre-university schools. Then there is the License, 2 years of exams + big thesis, with which one is licensed to teach theology in a university and last there is the Doctorate of research, a full fledge thesis of research.

@Jean-Carle
I will need at least three more years to shed the chains.

@Sam
More probably a new pair of trousers for my 11th century kit, as the last one deserted me on the field of (dis)honor. At least I will make them as historical as I can.

Yes congratulations and I also thought at first that it was the ditching of a " ball and chain " ( Breaking up with a girlfriend or a divorce as the expression " Bachelor at last " could have referred to one's spouse. Wink Laughing Out Loud ).

Congratulations Gabriele! So, you'll continue with studying for the license? In the Protestant part of the Netherlands, a study of theology usually leads to one becoming a minister (and I don't mean politician). But I guess that's a bit different for Catholics... What do you intend to do with the study?

Jean, looks like there are quite some similarities between marriage and studying. Difference is that being a student is supposed to end. Big Grin

@Paul: this would be the norm even in here, but now there are more and more people who want to degree in theology for they own studies. Or you can become a professor of Religion in the under-university schools, like I will probably do.

Effectively I was in a Seminary until two years ago, but I was stopped by my rector (apparently I'm not a "leader" and so I can't become a priest), and then I decided not to waste five years of studies, completing them on my own.

@Sam: my parents decided to gift me the new Kindle 3 from Amazon. Now I can read all the e-books about weapons with more confort...
