found some info, please give fed back if not acurate. shrewsbury sword named after the battlefield where prince hal ( later henry v ) defeated percy hotspur. sword pommel is fig- shaped and faceted, also noted for cross-shaped cutouts in the guard. Blade is double-edged and finely tapering. strongly pointed for the thrust, very efficent for finding chinks in armor or even punching through it.

Hi Troy,
here is what the Wallace Collection Catalogue has to say about this sword # A645:
"Faceted, fig-shaped pommel with a shrunken hollow for a shield, impressed on front and back; straight flat quillons, broadening at the ends, and there pierced with a cross. Grip missing. The two edged blade, stiff and finely tapering, is of a diamond section with a central groove at the forte, where it bears traces of an inscription.
L. 34 3/8 (87.3); W. 1 3/4 (4.5); Wt 2:12 (1.255)
About 1400
Ada Bruhn Hoffmeyer, op. cit. Pl. XXXIVc
Several like pommels were in the collection of Carl von Schwerzenbach"
The photo in the catalogue is the same as Nathan posted. I assume that the measure units are inches and pound and in the parentheses are centimeters and kilograms. The measurements I assume are L-length, W- width at the blade base, Wt- weight.
Hope that is useful.
Alexi
