1418 is when they are first employed. Seems that men-at-arms make up about a quarter to an one eighth. So one man-at-arms, (i'd expect knights for the most part) had several archers and other soldiers under him, something like a lance.

Total numbers range from 100-200.

Their armour would mirror the rest of Western Europe for the time frame.

would you know about their late 15 early 16th century armament? did they use uniforms and such or did they bring whatever they wanted?

Are you referring to the Scots Guards of the British Isles or the Guarde Ecossaise of France?

If those then they exist as a group by 1418. After Agincourt and with Henry V's increased conquests in the north of France the French king was more and more forced to rely on Scots. When Charles VII found his kingship debated and lack full French support he further needed Scot aid and several Scottish Lords came to serve under him, not just in the guard but in thousands in his armies.

There are some interesting ordinances from the late 15th as well as inventories. If you tell use what you are planning on doing- man-at-arms, archer, footman, etc. we can tell you what gear would be in use.
