July Highlight Items from Arms & Armor

The July Highlight is a special price on two of our popular pole hammers. The #232 Italian Pole Hammer and #217 Burgundian Poleaxe. This is in honor of our great friends at Freelance Academy Press and the new release of German Medieval Fighting Arts Vol 1. (see review thread Here) Check out the great price and other info at ARMS & ARMOR News. Don’t be the only kid at camp with out a pole arm.

If you are in the Midwest this summer stop by our both and say “hi” at the Bristol Renaissance Fair. There is no better way to appreciate A&A's craftsmanship than handling several of our pieces at once Happy

Also don’t forget to check the Muster Page and the In-Stock Page for all the items we can ship you right away.

Have a great summer from Arms & Armor Cool

Hello all,

What Craig is avoiding mentioning, with characteristic modesty, is that A&A poleaxes are prominently featured in the DVD, particularly in the section on the history of the weapon and its various forms, along with some historic axes from the Higgins Armory Museum.

If you haven't had a desparate urge to buy one of these from Craig & Co. yet, you will after you see the video. Happy

All the best,

Christian

I may be missing something, but it looks like #232 Italian Pole Hammer July Highlight Item is actually marked up on your website at http://www.arms-n-armor.com/pole232.html . The price is $450 and the amount of $400 is crossed out. I am sure that is a just a typo. The weapons look great.

While working on the DVD, I had the chance to handle many different axes, and I have to say these two were my favorites. The Burgundian is one of the best balanced weapons I've ever handled and the Italian is just plain pretty Big Grin

I claim cruel and unusual punishment on this one.

Sorry Joe did not mean to tempt you so. Though I might mention, while Philip is at the eye doctor, that your very own quote at the bottom of your post challenges one to find a way Eek!

What type of bike you saving for road or mountain? Or are you thinking of going to the track? Nothing like an evening at the velodrome to heighten the thrill of a ride.

Bikes.

Let's stop this silly talk of bikes. People need poleaxes, and they need them now. Right, Craig?

Another road bike. WTF?!

I'm taking a long look at the 2010 Fuji SST 1.0 and 2.0. Not sure I love the integrated seatpost, and I prefer SRAM which would mean buying a frame and doing a build or swapping the groupo on a Shimano bike, but they are rumored to be very sweet bikes. They are just very expensive (to me) right now.

I really do like that Italian Pole Hammer though.

On a slightly differnt topic my son is back and should get his gift on July 17. I'm very much looking forward to seeing him again, and to giving him his gladius!

Bike, bike ! Everybody can ride on the bike trail with a bike but with a poleaxe you could rule the bike path: No one shall pass you and you have a great tool to impose a pole tax: Collect ( extort ) enough cash from the bike riding suckers and you can later afford an Albion ( Well on this Topic it would be more diplomatic to buy a nice A & A sword. Wink Razz Laughing Out Loud ).

In other words with a poleaxe you could have a new career as a Highwayman:

I thought about just sending this to Joe but figured others might get a kick out of the Fults model road bike.

Eek! Happy Happy

Ah! a " POLEBIKE ", sweet. Wink Laughing Out Loud Cool Think of the historical tactical formation possibilities if they had bikes in period: The " PIKEBIKE " square comes to mind. Razz ( Officers using the " POLEBIKE " )

The SST 1.0, in black I might add, would probably be about two pounds lighter, and with that accessory, it might matter!! Big Grin Eek!

(nicely done regardless)

Just abandon all hope, resistance is futile, just buy one. Wink Razz ( Well one of each, the bike and the poleaxe Laughing Out Loud ).

I have a prototype of the Italian Pole hammer and it's really impressive and one of the Knightly Poleaxe. ( As you probably already know ).

Should come to just under $7500 to do all that. Figure I only have to sell one kidney, and as a bonus, I think I'll even end up with some cash left over when I do! WTF?!

Seriously though, that Italian Hammer is on my someday list...just has some other someday things in front of it right now.

I am suffering through the same issue at the moment Joe. I either want to update my current mountain bike or buy a new one. Though nothing as expensive as you are looking at! Eek! So while I squirrel money away to do it this fall, when hopefully I can get a deal on a 2010 model if I get a new bike, my spending on this hobby has ground to a halt. I keep hoping that Ed McMahon will show up at my house with a big oversize check! Sweet looking Fuji by the way.

Just cuz I want the Fuji don't mean I'm ever going to be able to buy it. Just hoping to catch the right sale at the right time. Seems to be that way for everything for me lately! Sorry this has wandered so off topic.

BTW I have a gladius much like the one on the muster page sitting on my son's bed waiting for him to get back from the army next month. Its a pretty darn nice piece of work. All shiny, cutty and sharp. It looks to be a very close relative of the one out there now. Highly recommended by me.

Black, I agree Happy

No worries about taking us off track still taking weapons and bikes few nobler things to spend ones hard earned coin on. One wonders what normal folks do with all that extra cash they must have?

The pole hammer is a bitt shorter so it might balance the bike a bit better Happy

Best
