As always, that's just gorgeous.

Does anybody know if Mr. Evans (Nice first name) has ever made a Schiavona? As soon as I get the money to order a custom sword, I want to get a nice Schiavona, and seeing how many basket-hilt pieces he has made, I think he'd be just the man to do it, and do it right.

He's surch an artist, that I'll admit, before I saw his dirks and basket hilts, I didn't even like them. Now every time I see one of his pieces, I want it. His stuff is so good that I want to own it even though it's not what I would usually like. Is that odd?

I have yet to see a piece from Vince that I didn't like, but I really like this one especially. For some reason the nice clean lines really appeal to me. Oh for two grand!

Only 2 grand? That seems pretty inexpensive for a custom basket-hilt with a scabbard. Is his pricing usually that realistic?

Yes. And many of us have been talking to him about that very thing. We should probably shut our mouths, but really, the guy could get more for his work.

If I could swing it in any way, I'd purchase this sword right now. But timing is horrible for me and I've just sold a bunch of stuff to raise cash. It would be silly to pour it all back into a sword again. Sure is tempting though.

Man. Vince keeps improving with every piece he put out. Vince's work has played a significant role my coming to appreciate the baskethilt in general.

I was taking with Vince last night and the subject of this sword came up ......

The long & short of it is that it handles wonderfully ..... very quick, very manuverable, lots of control !

Guys ..... don't let 'ol Mac snag yet another Evans beauty !! Come on .... this is yer chance !!

I told him if by some miracle it was still unsold come mid-September-ish that I'd be clearing a spot for her !
So fair warning ..... this is your chance to own a baskethilt by one of 'The' best hammerman on the planet today !!

Now Mac, you know as well as I do that the pieces on the "Available" section were specifically made unavailable to guys like you and me in advance, so that those not "in the know" can have their chance to purchase a Vince Evans piece. Having said that, a chance is what they get, and all they get, and now that a few days have gone by, maybe I should...hey, who the heck am I kidding? I haven't survived this long by being stupid, like stand in the way of Thomas McDonald when he has his sights set on a Vince Evans Baskethilt.

Hi Stephen,

If'n I had the moola to buy that sword, I'd be wrastlin' you and Mac
both to get me paws on it. But alas, I'm in the middle of double
car repairs and other such things, so I'll have to hope somebody,
anybody buys it soon. Looking at it is driving me crazy.
