I might be moving to Tucson AZ due to work soon, I'm still new into fencing and I have fallen in love with classical fencing and I have been working with a great group of like minded fencers here in Oregon. My goal is to eventually learn to use a smallsword well and would prefer to avoid electrical fencing as much as possible. Does anyone know of a good place to go in Tucson? I'm still in need of intense instruction as I'm still learning the basics.
Thanks,
Moses

Hi, I live in Tucson, and I haven't seen much in the way of HEMA like things here. I know that there's the ECS (http://www.ecs-imperial.org/) and SCA in town, but I haven't heard of anything beyond that. The ECS website says they do some form of fencing, but I've never gone.

Thanks for the input, I might just go to the olympic style fencing for a while then see if I can get in with one of the historical groups, that is if I accept the job.
Do you fence Kevin?

No, but I've always thought it would be fun to learn. I'm planning on joining, or at least trying out, either ECS or SCA after I finish college in May. Until then I just don't have the free time for that type of thing.

You can contact Yvonne Gallego she has a group that meets on Broadway Blvd just east of downtown, south of the UA. She can maybe steer you in the right direction
