I need some advice, my budget is £70 to spend on a viking shield, does anyone know where I can find one? My web-search hasn't yielded anything promising, hoping an old hand can give me..a hand..

You could try http://www.viking-shield.com/ they have a few shields that might fit your need, especially under the "in stock" section. Shipping costs might make it cost prohibitive, but it might be worth taking a look at.

This place came up on a thread about shields recently. Its in the UK and the prices range from £25 for a wooden buckler to £60 for a basic 36" round Viking style shield (extras like a guige or enarmes cost more); which would be around your price point.

I'd just like to point out though that I have never actually dealt with them so I don't know what the quality is like etc. But I think it would be worth firing off an email or giving them a call.

Thanks for the info. Got one, looks good though not much of an edge. Might have to re-renforce it a bit. Will post pics later.
