Hey guys,
We had some time to kill before the next shipment so we went ahead and made one of these babies. We can do one like this in any custom color request but this one is already finished and ready to ship.

That is a good-looking scabbard. Do you have any plans to do something similar to the Hanwei/Tinker Great Sword of War? I'd really like to see that.

Here is what the Norman would look like with more cord on the grip. What a beautiful sword that Norman turned into great job.

Your work is amazing!
Have you considered using a more period correct buckle? The modern nickle plated look just does not fit with the rest of the motiff IMHO.

I'd have to agree. It looks just great , but the buckle is a distraction.
Great job!

Get rid of the horribly anachronistic rivets on the buckle and you'll really have something there. You've got a lot of interlacing going on there, no reason why that can't be carried over to the buckle attachment.

Hi Sonny-
I've noticed over the last two years a very obvious commitment to constant improvement of your products and to paying attention to the marketplace and the needs of customers. You've done amazing work and have developed some very, very interesting and worthwhile collaborative partner relationships. The work coming out of your custom sword shop looks to be particularly impressive.
Well done!

Thanks Nathan,
We have been working hard on this. I think that many people who have a negative opinion of Valiant Armoury might find it easier to reconsider us if they could handle some of our newer offerings. With this in mind we are in the process of developing a Valiant Armoury Road Show so to speak.
Here is a post I made on SBG today:
Quote: | So I have been thinking that this year we wanted to do something unique. I have an old 20ft long trailer that I haven't used in a couple of years and I have been trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I have decided to outfit the trailer as a portable showroom and cutting stage. I was thinking of scheduling a few road trips to various regions around the states so that members that live in that area might be able to come by and see our new products as well as try them out. I have a first stop in mind but I thought it might be nice to hear from you guys to see who has any interest in attending a day long regional sword showcase by Valiant Armoury.
Any input would be great. |
Anyone with interest in seeing the new stuff up close can play a part in our scheduling process.

Sonny,
If you're in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky, I'd be interested in meeting you and seeing your wares. There are others in this area who'd be interested, too.
Also, we at myArmoury would love a chance to officially review whatever products you'd like to lend us. Let us know if you're interested.

I sent you a PM. I would love to have some reviews of the new swords on this site.

And I, as well as many others here I'm sure, would be very interested in reading them (I'll have to be satisfied with that as I doubt your roadshow will reach London anytime soon?
looking forward to see more of your signature/custom shope swords.
Cheers,

Valiant Armories have definitely raised the bar in mid-level swords. I have just received the Hedemark Viking Sword and I am very pleased with the performance and handling of the sword. I also have a Hanwei Tinker custom Viking. The custom scabards that come with both swords are amazing in their craftmanship and their color schemes that match the swords. In my opinion, I think it's a very good idea that Sonny came up with the idea to travel the country and show off his wares.
myArmoury.com is the 'go-to' authority on sword reviews and sword-related information. Thanks to the folks at myArmoury.com for giving us such a great resource.

I love the Norman sword and scabbard( except the rivets on the buckle) and went to the top of the page under "links" and couldn't seem to find Valiant Armory. I may have missed it, but I would like to see your page under the links of this forum if possible. Nice looking work, JF
