The Association for Historical Fencing is pleased to announce our annual Grand Assault of Arms, to be held November 14th - 15th, 2009 in New York City.

The tournament is structured so that all preliminary assaults will be fenced on Saturday, November 14th and the final assaults to determine the winners per each weapon category will take place on Sunday, November 15th.

Fencers may participate in any or all weapons categories. The tournament will include:
* Foil
* Dueling Sabre
* Dueling Sword (épée)
* Single Stick

The event will also feature an overview of the schools of fencing and the wide range of systems that existed in the 19th century at the height of the classical fencing era.

Demonstration will include:
* Foil - Italian and French Schools
* Sabre - Italian and Spanish Schools
* Dueling Sword – French and Italian
* Cane fencing and self-defense
* Great Stick
* Singlestick
* French dagger fencing
