I usually start with Bookfinder when looking for books. They're now part of Abe Books, who are in turn part of Amazon, but so far at least they seem to be reasonably independent (a lot of their listings point to Abe and Amazon, but then they do have an awful lot of books between then :-)
For rare military/weaponry books Ken Trotman is worth a mention. They often do small runs of facsimiles of books - presumably authorised as they're usually still in copyright. They currently have a facsimile of A.V.B. Norman's "Small-swords and military swords" which might be of interest to you, though they don't have the Aylward book.
I was lucky and picked up a moderately battered copy of The Small-Sword in England for £25 (about $40), but the cheapest copy on Bookfinder seems to be nearly twice that :-(
