I was just poking around Kult of Athenas website and noticed this interesting rapier.

I won't speak to the overall quality of the piece, but I find the design to be interesting and unique for a modern repro. It mightbe worth a look for someone on a budget who's looking for something a bit different.

Nice distal taper for something that is made by Windlass, 6.4-3.6mm.

Looking at the thicknesses listed on KoA, I've noticed that Windlass appears to be sourcing some thicker stock for certain items lately. It will be interesting to keep an eye on them, see what their offerings look like in the coming year - I'm betting they're feeling the heat from other lower-priced production companies (specifically Hanwei & Valiant). Time for them to step up their game, too.

I was just looking at that, myself. I was attracted to it because I am left handed and there aren't a lot of complex hilted swords which work for me.
