Blade Length: 32-1/2 inches
Blade width @ Base: 1-3/4 inches
Blade Width 3 inches from point: 13/16 inch
Blade Thickness @ Base: .212 inch
Blade Thickness 2 inches from Point: .80 inch
Hilt Overall Length: 11-1/4 inches
Length of Handle: 8 inches
Guard Type: 12
Pommel Type: unclassified type
Center of Gravity: 3-1/2 inches from guard
Location of Blade Node (measured from Guard): 21 inches
Primary Hilt Node: approx. 1/2 inch from cross on handle
Weight: 2lbs 6 oz
Bastardsword inspired by Irish swords of the 15th C. Blade is 5160 spring steel hardened to HRc52-53, excepting the tang and shoulder of the blade which are selectively drawn to HRc 45-48. Furniture is Mild Steel, handle is sandwhiched hardwood wrapped in linen cord and covered with a dark purple leather. The tang is heat-blued where it passes through the open center of the ring-pommel. The sword is provided with a leather scabbard that is reinforced at the throat and chape with additional leather. Scabbard is presently not dyed but may be dyed brown or black at the customer's request.
With it's light overall weight and close COG this sword is a lively handler but still tracks in the cut and thrusts well!

Sometimes they hang around for awhile, but this one went pretty fast.

Which is probably a relief as a bunch of others took their time to sell.
I was one of the lucky ones who bought one of these, a type XVII , and it's really nice to have my first Tinker sword.
I go to his site every day to check on what is available for immediate delivery or one can get onto his e-mail " mailing list " : Mailinglist@tinkerswords.com
I haven't signed up on the mailing list myself, but them I check in on the site often enough.   Though I might be missing the occasional sword I might like that people on the mailing list get a chance at a little sooner. 
Nice sword, not a type I usually go for, but then again I only wanted a Type XVII when I saw the one made by Tinker.
P.S. Oh, delivery was quick after I sent in my payment.

Usually fast, but the last batch of 3 or 4 swords seemed to have been stuck in a " TIMEWARP " of not selling quickly ! And not because they lacked appeal but like some sort of " economic " doldrum of buyers not having ready cash .... seems to come in waves of rapid selling and not selling periodic stagnation.
