I almost don't want to spar with it...almost. The edge is thicker than the Albion Meyer but it is light , well balanced and agile and flexes on the thrust. This is a custom Fechterspiel from Arms and Armor so it requires little introduction. The addition of the side rings brings the POB a little bit closer to the hilt and makes control during sparring easier and the side rings not only protect my hand but aids in ratcheting an oberhau up and away as I thrust from ochs. Craig and crew where helpful and timely and I would buy from them again.

Lovely looking piece, the side rings are very nicely proportioned & if anything make this look better than the plain sword.

Do you find any interference from the side rings when changing grip types for example when using zwerchau ?

It finally meets the Meyer for a showdown. Note the gauntlets stowed on the codpiece.
