Hi Mac,
Actually, it made me think more of Kirillian photograpy. Meaning
that your diamond apparently has its own life essence being
captured in pictures. I wonder if the next step is for it to start speaking
in your head and demanding souls, like Stormbringer or Mournblade...

Hey, people, guess what? If you could put a coating of oil or something on a highly-polished hilt, and seal it under plastic....
