Hi everyone. New to the forums and this wonderful site. I did a search on the forums and couldn't find anything so I thought I'd start a new topic. Do you guys have any sources for the arms and armour that medieval Georgia used? I'm looking at around the 11th-13th centuries for the most part but any information at all would be appreciated. Thank you

Check Nicolle's Arms & Armour of the Crusading Era, 1050-1350: Islam, Eastern Europe and Asia
It has a chapter on Georgian arms. Nicolle has some controversial theories, but the line drawings of artifacts and artwork can be a very valuable resource.
Hope this helps,
Dan

this is a link to the forum of computer game developers, discussing georgian medieval costume. Russian language and most illustrations are poor, but some are interesting

You may want to check out some of this material it maybe based on later material than you are looking for but it is concerned with the history and martial arts of the area.
