I have been looking online with little success. I am intending to buy these Pauldrons. What I am looking for is apicture with someone wearing them. The Pauldrons with Haute Pieces grab my attention, however If I bought these Pauldrons without the Haute Pieces, then I would be able to layer a Tunic Over the armour. If I do get the Haute pieces then when I wear the armor there is only one way to wear it. This armour is from The Mercenary's Tailor and here is a link if perhaps someone may have a picture of similar pauldrons. 7th & 8th items down the screen

My first grade of armour is a 12gauge 3/8 Stainless Steel Maille Byrnie. I have made this exclusivly by hand, winding the wire, cutting the rings, and even hand buffing every ring my self. With 1200+ hours invested and this was just the beginning and now I find myself looking to make (To buy, not make myself) a complete suit of Armour piece by peice

Whats the period and place of origin for the harness? What tier of authenticity are you going for? What rank would the wearer be?

Haute pieces look good, but as I'm sure you know came in towards the end of when plate armour was widely used, and went out of use reasonably quickly. During their period of use, I would expect most people able to afford full harness would wear a fitted tunic which would go under the pauldrons more often than over.

You also see full tunics giving way to a skirt from the waist down. link No-one worth any money would be seen in the simple rectangle with a hole in over the head, so if thats what you're concerned about, then don't worry.

I would have to say time period would not be an issue, as those shoulders with the haute pieces are complete fantasy.
Edit:
Sorry, I was l was looking at the bottem ones (spaulders w/ haute pieces). Well the paulrins w/ haute pieces are close to real, although the haute plates seem to be in the wrong location. (They should be further forward.) However as stated wearing these without a curaiss would be incorrect.

I am really glad I asked. I had/have no idea what “exactly” I am going after; just a general direction towards armour. I think I might not go with the haute pieces after all for various reasons (Mainly of what has been mentioned)

The construction of chain maille intrigued the work of my hands. The Maille society is great; however most seem to be into jewelry vs. armour. I find myself stumbling into a large room full of information I have never even considered. Upon a question asked is an answer full of questions. This is the start of what seems to be a long journey for myself. Now I seek to look into past topics/posts to find what “exactly” I am looking for.

Thank you for the relies.
