April Highlight Item #146 12th C Spear
This early medieval winged spear is mounted on an ash shaft and would be the quintessential weapon for a Dark Age warrior. Soldiers across Europe would have carried this type of spear as one of the more common arms of the day.
Highlight price of 125.00 s/h 36.00
We have a one of special this month as well, but I will let you check out the details on the News page, just don’t wait to long as the deal gets better as time goes by until the sword is gone.
Plus there will be a new item as well but it is not quite ready, very soon though.
Best

Oooh I like it! Let's see how things go with getting orders out the door this month and perhaps I can pick up one of those spears. As for the sword... hmmm biding my time on that one... unless things get out of control of course. Also eagerly waiting to see what is next...

As promised, check our news page for info on a new item from A&A . Something for that Knight who needs a new weapon for the list or expects service in the summer campaigns.
#217 Burgundian Poleaxe
Keep well from A&A

Very nice! Ironically, I had thought of trying to make one myself, but now that you're offering one, I think I will go with this. Of course, having just bought the Bec de Corbyn I'll need to pace myself a bit, but I think a couple months or so down the road I might be able to get this.
But I still want to get the Knightly Poll Axe, as well, which only complicates matters... *sigh*

Hey Craig, I can see that Chris and yourself did some thinking and came up with one hell of a nice polearm That is going to make a nice addition to my long staff polearm collection, namely the A&A custom Sparth Axe, Bec De Corbin, Danish War Axe and a pretty nice Knightly Poleaxe from Windlass that I sharpened up. However, it's going to be a time yet before I order one of these. Working towards that St. Maurice Sword of yours that is headed for Kult of Athena at present.
In fact I will be dropping off some cash with Ryan in the next week or so, but this is definitely one cool looking polearm!
As you've probably figured out some time ago Craig, I am a fan of polearms!
Thanks!
Bob

Wanted to update everyone that the supply of Spears we had on hand for this highlight item has run out. We did not anticipate how popular this item would be. Which is nice to see. If you were interested in this piece we will happily take orders for this item at this price until the Highlight Item changes but we will not be able to ship additional orders until the new spears are finished.
Best
Craig
PS Thank you for the comments on the Poleaxe guys. It is a fun piece to play with. Though Bob, it was not much of us figuring this one out. The details and such are taken of a direct mold of the original and they were pretty good at putting these together . There are some minor changes but the head is about as close as you can get with out owning the original in the Wallace Collection.
Keep well

The 14th C. "Grete Swerde" of War has sold. Those of you tempted and trying to prepare a proposal to the exchequer to clear the funds have been rescued from your task by a kind hearted comrade. Many expressed interest in this idea so we will see if we can bring other interesting pieces to you in the future.
