Here is a sword I would like an I.D. on. It is apparently Saxon. But I am interested in what branch of the service it is.
Blade length: 30 1/8 inches
Width at Forte: 1 1/4 inches
Sword Overall: 36 inches

It looks like a mounted artillery piece and particularly like all the defaced Argentine artillery sabres that are covering the market. There are barrels of them. Could be wrong though and it's really a rare Franco Prussian war veteran of limited quantity. :I don't have the right books to be certain but the Argentine pieces have seen discussion elsewhere and there are lots of dealer listings.
Cheers

Morgan, that sword's hilt looks to me a bit similar to the Blücher sabre. Unfortunately, I have no idea what sword is this.
