I have been on a trek through the mountains to El Torcal and back.
My riding companion is archeologist so we had a real treat as I had planned the route past Antequera so we took time to visit some digs. As a bonus we encountered a roman pilar!!!! in the rough on a slope riding through a dehesa where fighting bull roam free.
