I just bought the full size, full length riveted hauberk, WOW! Thanks to Icefalcon armoury for a great selection and awesome service. I will be picking up the Chausses and a coif soon to complete the early crusader kit I have been putting together. This armour is well made and best of all I didn't wait months etc... a couple days and as promised I had my hauberk. This is not the cheap crap found elsewhere on the internet but the flat ring riveted maille, tough as nails. I will post a few pics when I can. Thanks again Icefalcon armoury.

Andre,
Interesting stuff. Can you tell me about the blackening on the stainless mail? I'm assuming its purpose is to make the mail look a little more authentic. What kind of finish is it and how durable is it?
Thanks!

Awesome! I might just have to buy from you in the future -- was going with the wholesalearmoury hauberk originally.

Would you add some additional information about the loose rings and rivets? Forth Armoury (now defunct) used to give O.D. and I.D. and wire gage that the rivet rings were made from. This might help some decide if they can integrate Ice Falcon's materials into their own partially completed projects!
Absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence!

Had a look at the site and it looks interesting but I would suggest more information about sizing in inches and/or centimetres, chest, waist and arm sizes, the S, M, L, XL sizes can be very variable from one maker to another and only gives an imprecise idea about what might fit.
You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

I and every other person that I know of who has bought from Icefalcon Armoury has not been disappointed. His customer service and reputation are excellent. If you have a problem with sizing or ordering, I would simply email or call.
Jared, I am not sure if Icefalcon's rings are completely compatible, as Forth Armoury was selling wedge riveted, and these are dome riveted. IIRC, he sells 9.5mm rings (roughly 3/8").

From experience having bought most of my fomer SCA armour from Icefalcon, he is a man of his word and when he says its "shipped" or "guarenteed" you can bet on it. Still no pics of my hauberk, new baby in the house, very busy.

I definitely need to spend some time on our site. Business has been great lately and have not had much time to do so.
The links are 9mm, 18 guage. The blackening is a durable chemical blackening. I have been selling this product for 6 months now without a complaint. I am not sure of the long term durability of the blackening yet.
Sorry for the delay in answering this post....
I will be away next week at a large event but will answer anyone's questions upon my return.
Cheers!
Andre
