Here is my #2 attempt on making displays for my toys. I had this axe for years and some of you may recognize it. I got it long before Krag Axe website was ever up and this was one of his first models. I had him make this to my specs and I see that it's still popular today.

Your thoughts on the display and suggestions on the next one for a Rapier display, (ie) how to hang it with the basket hilt being so large.

Thanks for any advice.

Are you scared, Connor?
No, Cousin Dugal. I'm not!
Don't talk nonsense, man. I peed my kilt the first time I went into battle.
Oh, aye. Angus pees his kilt all the time!

I love the axe. I would have liked it with a longer handle, but the axe-head is great. Nice display also.

Gary you've inspired me. I have got too many weapons that are up on the wall with nails or not up at all. Mayhaps my next purchase should be some nicer display hardware. I had a viking spear that I meant to hang for years, and now I can't find the darn thing. Worried

Tony,
My brother n law said the same thing.

Gavin,
go get a piece of wood and a good router for the edges and go for it. A little imagination goes a long way.

Nice looking axehead Gary. It should look good displayed along your sword display (which I thought looked great btw).
What are the stats on the axe? Is that Krag Axe site still around? I am not familiar with it.

You can find his website here: http://100megsfree3.com/kragaxe/
Stats on the axe? Never thought about it. It's high carbon steel and custom handle is all I know. I met him at a Texas SCA event when he first started to make axes and I had him combine two of his styles for mine. It's a darn nice ax and I love it. Hits real nice too!.
I'd love to put it on a 32" handle that would make it a perfect weapon !
