I wanted to once again give credit where credit is due and give a big thank you to Allan of Mercenary Tailor.
When, at the beginning of September, when I managed to grab a set of Merc Tailor 15th century legs to bring my joust kit more toward the mid-15th century look I wanted, I needed a set of matching arms to go with it. I emailed Allan and luckily for me not only did he have almost all of the parts in my size (thank you whoever thought your arms were as big as mine!) but had my measurements still on file to create the lower cannons.
I had pretty much given up hope of them arriving on time, when the day before our show, I received two USPS package notices (one was for the Great Bascinet that Steel Mastery made for me) - off I went and waited at the post office. Two minutes before they were to close, the postal carrier came in and I picked up my helm and my new arms.
As always, they looked great and performed better! The service and communication was above top notch and there are A LOT of US armourers that could learn a thing or three about treating customers from Allan and his guys!

It's great to hear more success stories. Congrats to you. I have been looking through their items as well. I'm glad to hear rave reviews of their products. They are great with e-mail even if it is just questions and not purchases.

Hello,
What vambraces were used as a model for yours? I can't recall any with such a huge upper canon that sticks so far away from the arm.

Its mostly because I have very large upper arms and relatively normal sized forearms, thus it makes the armour look a bit asymmetrical (as do my arms).

You're saying your left upper arm fills that huge upper cannon??!!

Probably yes if he is careful to not flex to much.   ( I don't really know but it looks " possibly " true  )
Oh, by the way Allan has been having tech. problems with his site and it's been impossible to access his catalogue !
Really a pain trying to get this fixed with I.T. guys last week.
His site seems to be back to normal as I just checked now. Not fun for a vendor when his clients can't view his product and order due to a " GLITCH ".
Just thought I would give a heads-up about that in case some of you where trying to order stuff.
( O.K. I'll admit it: Allan is one of the best vendors out there for great customer service and I was worried about him and his business, so I e-mailed him and and his reply explained the above problems. I also consider him a good friend.  ).
You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

Just popping in to say that your armour looks great, but your horse looks even better. Sooo cute. (Yes I just called a big warhose "cute." )

Hugh, Lloyd is a BIG boy in the arms. 20" including his arming coat. I could nearly put my leg into it.

(too many years as a competitive powerlifter and rugby player  )
