This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available
Hi Folks !
I have thought over this for some time but finally decided to sell the sword. With life changing and less time for hobbies like re-enactment i will have to let go of this one, as it would be a waste to just let it hang on the wall.
Enough words down to things at hand..
The Sword is about 10month old. I used it once for steel on steel fighting. Other then that i used it for a lot of dry handling in the back yard as a work out.
Condition of the sword:
Blade:
The blade has some minor scratches from 400 grit sand paper from when i smoothed out the blade after the steel on steel fight. Its nothing damaging but visible in the right light. You can polish them out easily.
Grip:
The grip has a light set. Its nothing that influences the functionality of the sword but i want to point it out in the sake of honest trading.
I have tried to photograph it and added the pictures to the archieve.
First of all the stats of the sword that should be the most interesting:
Weight: 2780 g (according to my kitchen scale)
Overall Length: 146,5 cm
Blade Length (measured from crossguard): 104,5 cm
Blade width (crossguard): 4,7 cm
Blade width (tip): 2,4 cm
Sharpness: Blunt, the edge is very nicely done, looks good and i always felt safe to actually use it
For my initial impression with the sword look here:

So keeping that in mind there are a few things i want to point out in the interest of a fair sale and to make sure the buyer knows what he or she is buying:
1) The sword does some time to get used to
2) to handle the sword well and safely you - must - practice with it
3) the swords long handle makes handling comperative easy but none the less - at almost 2,8 kg it physically challenging
4) while you can unscrew the pommel, you cannot take the sword apart. The wood of the handle is glued into the tang, when I asked Iain about it he explained it was part of their safety features. However the tang does go though the entire handle, there is no welding or anything done.
Concidering the state of the blade I am only asking 300 €(including paypal fees) for the sword and buyer pays shipping and handling.
The sword comes with leather scabbard, made from Armour Class as well.
I prefer payment though paypal.
The sword is located in Germany, Hamburg. Pick up would be an option too just in case somone lives there )
Best regards
Klaus
